Acer eyeing 10% market in smartphone category

Having provided mobile internet solutions to 20 million customers worldwide, world’s third largest PC vendor, Acer, is targeting 6-7 per cent market share worldwide in the smartphone category. - Now, Acer to launch smartphones in India - Acer targets Rs 130 crore turnover in Eastern region in 2009-10 Richard Tan, country head, Acer Smart Handheld Business Group, India, said by providing innovations, Acer Smartphone was looking to capture around 10 per cent market share in smartphone category in India. Acer, which has launched five Smartphone products in India plans to introduce five more products within next couple of months.
