US markets surge on homes sales data

US markets jumped on Monday as more-than-two-year high home sales was reported. - ITC flares up to 52-week high - US markets drop on recovery worries - US markets end weak - US markets end marginally lower - IRDA mulls allowing life insurers to invest in derivatives - US markets close in the green The Dow gained 133 points (1.2%) to 10,451. The Nasdaq added 30 points (1.5%) to 2,176. Indian ADRs ended in the green. Patni Computers rallied 5.4% to $20.42. MTNL gained 3% at $3.22. ICICI Bank and Tata Communications were up 2% each at $38.88 and $15.84, respectively. Infosys, Wipro and HDFC Bank moved up around 1% each.
